Recent Project : Oldham – Commercial refurbishment
BlueSpot provide hand tools to over 1000 trades across the UK. After they acquired a new property, we were asked to convert this old mill for their new head office in Oldham.
After many years of being left unoccupied, this derelict mill needed a lot of work to not only transform it into a commercial outfit but to make it safe and habitable. One of the main problems was years of water seeping in which meant we had to pull out and rebuild internal walls. From then it was creating the office space, meeting rooms, staff and retail areas BlueSpot needed. Once structured safely, we were able to bring more of our team for plumbing, heating and electrical work as well as plastering walls and decorating each room fit for purpose. Once completed, rooms were branded in line with BlueSpot’s colour theme and furniture brought in to match the décor.
Mike and the team were able to move into their brand new office as well as welcome visitors to an impressive, historical building full of character.
Very, very good and really thorough. Both Paul and Richard are extremely knowledgeable, always coming up with suggestions to make the job better. As well as the mill conversion for BlueSpot, RP Wood Construction also worked on my Grade II listed building which is our home. This included a stone built extension to the property and specialist tiles for the roof. They have all the right contacts too, bring in the right trades who know how to work on buildings such as ours.
